Good morning, Sheridan.

On March 4th, Frackelton’s Restaurant in Sheridan hosted Dining for a Cause that raised funds for The Food Group of Sheridan.

All proceeds and tips matched a $55,000 donation from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church—resulting in a total of $122,792 to be used for providing nutritious food to children at risk of hunger.

Sheridan County Commissioners will meet tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the courthouse board room to consider renewing county liquor licenses and several proposals—creating a semiquincentennial committee, approving an aviation service agreement, a lease with the Sportsman’s Association, consent for a sub-lease at the county airport, vacation of an Elm Avenue right-of-way and an amendment to a contract with the State Department of Health.

Brenda Gorm, director of nursing at Amie Holt Care Center, reported to the hospital board that the census stands at 32 residents and two more patients are expected soon.

She noted issues with staff retention & said the center plans a senior prom with reused decorations, volunteer styling, live music and professional photos.
