  • On March 28th at 8:44 p.m., the Tongue River Fire Department — with support from Dayton Fire — responded to a grass fire on Monarch Road near a Walk-In access area that spread over 5 to 10 acres from illegal fireworks, and the suspects fled before crews contained the blaze without threatening any structures.  Sheridan Media

  • On March 26th, 36-year-old Joshua Roye Dunn of Sheridan was sentenced in a Cheyenne federal court to three months of supervised probation for possessing an unregistered firearm.  Sheridan Media
  • Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Dominguez said scammers recently used creative social media tricks to steal money from residents, and he urged anyone who thinks they have been targeted to call the sheriff's office at 307-672-3455.  City of Sheridan

  • Martha Jane Canary—widely known as Calamity Jane—blazed a trail in the frontier by serving as a scout for General Custer and aiding in dangerous campaigns near Sheridan.
