  • Compete for a Cause will hold its first talent show to raise funds for 4-year-old Rylee Scheeler's family at 6 p.m. on Saturday April 5 at Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center at Sheridan College—doors open at 4 p.m. for donations and a silent auction while performers from Sheridan and Cody take the stage.  Sheridan Media
  • The Sheridan Community Land Trust announced today that its SCLT Explore History program is rescheduled—due to weather it is now set for Tuesday, March 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon—at the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Dayton. Guest presenter Dave McKee will review the history of the Bozeman Trail, which began in 1863 to serve travelers during a turbulent era.  Sheridan Media

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On March 17th, 2025, Sheridan County Commissioners held their regular meeting at 9 a.m. in the courthouse addition to review a new public comment sign-up sheet, a resolution to designate depositories for public funds, payment options for a tower site lease extension, and an amendment to the lease with the Sheridan County Sportsman's Association after a resident missed the chance to speak at a previous meeting.  City of Sheridan
  • Sheridan VA Medical Center will host an event on April 1 to educate veterans and providers about programs that allow veterans to work while keeping their Social Security benefits—an effort targeting better access to job opportunities.  The Sheridan Press
  • DSA Executive Director Zoila Perry updated the Sheridan City Council on highlights from 2024 for the Downtown Sheridan Association — a nonprofit funded by the City of Sheridan General Purpose Excise Tax — and said more details on promotions and partnerships will come in a future report.  Sheridan Media
  • On Monday night, March 16th, the Sheridan City Council met at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers to hold a second reading of an ordinance that amends the M1 Industrial Zoning District and creates an M2 Heavy Industrial District. The council also received an update from City Engineer Thomas Morneau on construction projects and discussed forming a committee with the firefighters union for collective bargaining rules.  City of Sheridan
