Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 17th of March.
Good morning, Sheridan.
On March 14, the Brinton Museum in Big Horn hosted a reception for Linda Pease—the Crow artist from Billings—who started the museum’s 20th Illustrator Show, its first exhibition of the season.
The show runs through April 7 and follows her retirement from teaching as she now paints and illustrates children’s books in the Crow language.
On March 23, Saturn’s rings will vanish for one night when Earth’s alignment makes them appear on edge.
Local sky watchers may try binoculars before sunrise—NASA reports the rings will fade permanently in 100 to 300 million years.
Sheridan County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Second Floor Board Room #220 at the County Courthouse Addition to decide on a public comment sign-up sheet after one resident missed a chance last meeting.
They will also review resolutions to designate public funds depositories, payment options for a tower site lease extension, and a lease amendment with the Sportsman’s Association—everyone is welcome to attend.
