  • Seven brave souls jumped into a portable water tank for the annual Jackalope Jump on Saturday near the M&M’s Center and raised over $5,000 for the Wyoming Special Olympics — a fundraiser that supports local athletes.  City of Sheridan

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tomorrow, the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum will host Obstetrics in NE Wyoming, a free program in which Dr. Mike Jording discusses local doctors' ties to regional histories at the Carriage House + it launches a monthly series through June.  Sheridan Media

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Sheridan's Stone House, built in 1898, is to be protected as a historic preservation district (with plans for adaptive reuse) by the Community Land Trust working with the owner to safeguard its stone walls and prairie views.  Cowboy State Daily

SPORTS NEWS

  • Two Sheridan golfers, Josh Gardner and Jared Stiver, were selected in a lottery to represent Wyoming in the inaugural Heartbeat tournament at Landmand Golf Club in Homer, Nebraska, scheduled for Aug. 2-5. The course, known for selling all tee times in 45 minutes, will host four rounds in team+play.  Cowboy State Daily
  • The Sheridan Hawks overcame a 3-1 deficit to tie 3-3 in regulation and won 4-3 in overtime to sweep the Frontier Division playoff semifinals at Whitney Rink at the M&M’s Center Friday.  Sheridan Media
