COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On Friday, Mar. 6, the Chamber welcomed new member 307 Pups and Nuptials with an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting, introducing their professional canine wedding chaperone service for attentive, coordinated care on wedding days (owner Lexes Bohne).  City of Sheridan
  • SCLT offers a free Intro to Caving Discovery Session with Jared Koenig and volunteers from the Bighorn Mountains Grotto. Classroom training is on Thursday, Mar. 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the SCLT Community Rooms (attendance is mandatory for upcoming field excursions on Mar. 14–15 and Mar. 21–22).  City of Sheridan
  • The Sheridan Community Land Trust offers special memory plaques on two trail bridges for $50 each that support trail upkeep, and additional plaques may be placed on more bridges when space runs out.  City of Sheridan
  • The Chamber of Commerce lunch program will be held on Wednesday, March 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ramada Plaza (1809 Sugarland Dr.) in Sheridan.  The Sheridan Press

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Brinton Museum in Big Horn will present James F. Jackson: Legacy in Art and Leather from March 13 to Aug. 3, featuring 47 paintings and leather works by local artist Jim Jackson. A reception is scheduled for March 12 (5–7 p.m.) with light refreshments.  City of Sheridan
  • The WYO Theater in Sheridan will host The Spicy Pickles with vocalist Hannah Rodriguez at 7 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 12. Tickets are $25 for adults, $21 for seniors and military and $16 for students, available at the theater box office or online.  City of Sheridan
  • Wyoming native Ian Munsick is set to open his Munsick themed restaurant and cowboy bar at The Landmark Hotel and Casino in Deadwood on Aug. 29, featuring live performances and an adjacent recording studio for local talent. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold the Sheridan Regional season setting open house meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at its Sheridan office (printed proposals and draft regulations will be available online) for hunters, landowners and the public to review upcoming season changes.  City of Sheridan

SPORTS NEWS

  • Sheridan Broncs' Adam Frey ran in the 55-meter hurdles final at the Campbell County Recreation Center Field House Friday and finished stride for stride with a runner from Cheyenne East and Natrona County.  Sheridan Media
  • The Sheridan County Recreation District is registering kids for spring lacrosse at Dan Madia Field with divisions for various grades including a new introductory Littles program for 1st-2nd grades. Registration costs $80 and $40 for Littles, and is open through March 20.  City of Sheridan
