COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Women can apply for Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman camps at Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp; sessions will run June 5 to 7, July 30 to August 2, and August 7 to 9, and the application deadline is March 31 with a $150 fee that includes meals and lodging.  City of Sheridan

CULTURE NEWS

  • Sheridan High School presents Anastasia the Musical today at 7:15 p.m., with performances Friday and Saturday at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.  Sheridan Media

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Sheridan WYO Rodeo has expanded its scholarship program for 2026 from three $1,000 awards to five $3,000 awards. Local high school graduates (SPURS volunteers earn bonus points) must apply by April 15, and winners will be honored during rodeo week from July 6 to 12.  City of Sheridan
  • Sheridan High School students are presenting 'Anastasia'—transforming their stage into the bustling streets of St. Petersburg and the bright lights of Paris since early January. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Due to early warm weather, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department warned Sheridan residents that local bears are emerging sooner, so homeowners and outdoor enthusiasts should secure garbage and pet feed (and ensure grills are stored safely). GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On March 4, Dustin Stephens from the Hub on Smith briefed the City Council on the nonprofit's 2025 activity, including its Home Delivered Meals program and that Goose Creek Transit provided over 63,000 rides to help older adults access essential services (medical care, groceries and church).  City of Sheridan
  • Sheridan County Commissioners ratified a letter of commitment to fund up to $160,000 as the local match for pedestrian safety improvements at the rodeo grounds near grandstands and accessible parking.   • Johnson County Commission Chairman Bill Novotny said that funding for improvements at the Veterans’ Home domiciliary in Buffalo is expected later this year — a milestone following eight years of legislative shifts as rising construction costs demand a swift start.  Sheridan Media

  • Commissioners approved Sheridan Memorial Hospital's affiliation with Billings Clinic today + the new partnership will strengthen health services for local patients.  The Sheridan Press
