  • The Chamber held its 27th annual Awards of Excellence, honoring Chase Christensen as Community Champion, Babe’s Flowers with the Strength of Sheridan Award, Innominate Coffeehouse & Bakery as Business of the Year and Emily Betzler as Business Person of the Year — featuring keynote speaker Jeff Mowry.  City of Sheridan
  • Sheridan’s new outdoor recreation projects provided families with backyard activities in 2025 and will offer additional opportunities in 2026, making adventure accessible for local residents.  The Sheridan Press

CULTURE NEWS

  • Award-winning illustrator Zak Pullen will hold a gallery talk and book signing Saturday, March 7 at The Brinton Museum from 10 a.m. to noon + the free event will also showcase insights into his creative process and original works from his exhibition.  Sheridan Media
  • The Brinton Museum is hosting its annual 5th Grade Student Art Show from Feb. 6 through March 2 — nearly 200 works by local and Montana school students are on display, and admission remains free for all visitors.  City of Sheridan

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Seven Sheridan County high school seniors have been named recipients of the University of Wyoming Trustees’ Scholars Award, joining 100 state peers in the top academic scholarship program for 2026.  The Sheridan Press
  • Sheridan County Library System Director Amy Long reported on Public Pulse that the renovations are on schedule despite delays in furniture delivery — local branches will welcome visitors to see improvements, with finished work expected by mid-to-late summer.  City of Sheridan

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The county sheriff restricted Red Grade Road to tracked vehicles on Jan. 9 after winter conditions caused vehicles to get stuck and damage groomed trails west of the road. The measure will continue through winter — residents are urged to check road status before traveling.  Sheridan Media

HEALTH NEWS

  • Sheridan Memorial Hospital board approved a partnership with Billings Clinic, and Sheridan County commissioners will soon give the final nod. The decision may reshape local health care services.  The Sheridan Press
  • Sheridan Memorial Hospital's behavioral health clinic (opened in 2024) has strengthened mental health support and reduced Title 25 holds across the county.  The Sheridan Press

SPORTS NEWS

  • Senators Barrasso and Lummis celebrated Wyoming’s three Olympic athletes on Wednesday at the Senate floor for their success in the 2026 Winter Olympics — Breezy Johnson earned gold in Alpine Skiing, Jaelin Kauf secured two silvers, and Anna Gibson placed fourth in the mixed relay race.  City of Sheridan
  • At the Sheridan County YMCA, about 20 students attended a four-hour pickleball clinic on Thursday, Feb. 26, led by Sam Giese with instructors Tom Harper and Scott Weischedel—U.S. Navy veteran Bruce Shell advised players not to chase every ball to keep the pace.  Sheridan Media
