- ➤ Sioux historian Donovin Sprague, descendant of Chief Hump and Crazy Horse, gave a slide show on the Powder River Expedition of 1865 at the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Dayton on Tuesday, Feb. 17. - ➤ Longtime rancher Don Roberts donated nearly 544 acres valued at $3.75 million to the Sheridan Community Land Trust on Feb. 21, protecting ranchland, wildlife habitat, and public trails along the community's western edge; the donation established the Gillispie Draw Natural Area + Ridgetop Natural Area for long-term conservation. - ➤ The Sheridan County Conservation District received GPET funds and reported $484,500 in allocations for water and land quality during an April 2025 City Council meeting.
