- ➤ Sheridan College will host a ticketed performance by contemporary chamber ensemble Hub New Music on Friday, Feb. 13 at Kinnison Hall at Whitney Center for the Arts. The Sheridan Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Brinton Museum hosted receptions on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 for the All-Schools 5th Grade Student Art Show (a tradition since 2016 featuring nearly 200 projects from district schools and homeschool students). The exhibition will be open until March 2. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has scheduled a hunter education instructor training in Sheridan on Apr. 17 and Apr. 18. New and certified instructors will attend a Friday evening ICC session (to observe course delivery) and a Saturday session focused on class setup, registration, and department policies. - ➤ Parents and students shared concerns during a school district legislative session Tuesday evening, questioning the state's plan to change school funding while discussing teacher pay and class sizes. The session provided a clear stage for local voices on education. The Sheridan Press
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ During Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, advocates from the Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center met with students in local schools to stress the need for open conversations and early recognition of abusive dating behaviors + to help families prevent escalation.
