- ➤ AARP Wyoming + Audubon of the Rockies will host three in-person bird watching trips this spring in Laramie and Sheridan. The outings will give locals a chance to learn more about native birds in their own community. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ Jeff Mowry, head coach of the Broncs five time state champion football team, will serve as keynote speaker at Sheridan’s Chamber’s 27th Annual Awards of Excellence celebration. The event will recognize outstanding local achievements in the community. The Sheridan Press

- ➤ On Friday, Feb. 6, the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Bristol Exchange at 2047 Coffeen Ave, marking its new location. The upscale boutique owned by Jacee Williamson offers new and used clothing + consignment for all ages. Sheridan Media
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UW Extension will offer 10 pesticide safety sessions for private applicators in northeast Wyoming in February and March. Sessions will be held at sites including Sheridan County Extension Office (1090 Dome Loop) and others, and participants must bring a government-issued ID. Sheridan Media
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan Fire-Rescue Division Chief of Operations Chad Brutlag, who served for 27 years, will retire Feb. 27. His departure marks nearly three decades of dedicated service to the community. The Sheridan Press

- ➤ The YMCA has reintroduced its free weight strength training class for adults that builds community through teamwork and practical workouts, meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 p.m. in the main weight room with registration available online or at the front desk. Sheridan Media
