- ➤ Ucross Chapel is located east from Sheridan on US Highway 14 and was built in 2012 by founder Raymond Plank after he saw a similar chapel in New Zealand. It is open from dawn to dusk and can be rented for weddings & special events on its landscaped grounds. Sheridan Media
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ In 2025, the Sheridan County Airport broke records with over 60,300 passengers after starting a twice daily round trip service to Denver in June and noting extra flights during Thanksgiving. Airport manager Robert Gill mentioned upcoming projects including taxiway realignment and ramp improvements to support future growth. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Sheridan officials remind residents that feeding deer, antelope, foxes and more is unlawful and can harm wildlife; experts advise drivers to slow down for crossing animals + residents can help by using electric stock tank heaters to keep water open during winter. Sheridan Media
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan Public Works Director Hanns Mercer announced the city will upgrade from a coupon system to punch cards mailed to all residents (including renters) this month and urged everyone to keep their cards safe since replacements are unavailable. Residents who do not receive their card should call the city at 307-674-6483. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department recapped 2025 achievements, noting former Director Brian Nesvik’s federal nomination, a conservation forum in Dubois, and a groundbreaking for a $33 million wildlife crossing project on Hwy 189 slated for Oct. 2027. Sheridan Media

- ➤ The Tongue River Lady Eagles beat the Pine Bluff Lady Hornets 43-36 in a game that stayed tied at nine-all after the first quarter and saw Chaney Reish’s layup start a scoring surge in the early second quarter. Sheridan Media
