- ➤ Historic regimental bands once boosted morale and marked events at frontier posts like Fort Phil Kearny and Fort McKinney. Local groups in Sheridan worked in 1920 to secure a band — an effort recalled today in community parades when the American Legion plays ‘Garryowen’ to honor the tradition. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The Museum at the Bighorns opened its exhibit Transitions of the Landscape on Jan 2 and it features Jessamine Spear Johnson’s photographs documenting 50th Anniversary events of the Battle of the Little Big Horn; the exhibit will remain until June 28 and the venue hosted its first Family Day after the preview.
